Lynn Berryhill has been an abstract painter for over 30 years. Lynn’s success as an artist and teacher comes from her journey of self-discovery and deep spiritual exploration.
Lynn studied science and art at the University of Utah, eventually receiving a degree in art from Sonoma State University. She has had numerous one -person and group art shows, and has traveled to Europe, India, Australia and Peru to seek and explore the creative process. For over a dozen years, Lynn has taught classes on creativity, utilizing many insights, tools and exercises to help the student/ artist “push the envelope” of their individual creative process.
Lynn has been a senior faculty member for over 15 years for The Four Winds, teaching classes in energy healing and shamanism. She participated in Natalie Rogers’ “Person Centered Expressive Arts Therapy Institute,” and has attended artist residencies in Jackson, Wyoming for ten years. The Utah Humanities Council also awarded Lynn a grant to develop “Embracing Opposites—In Search of the Public Good.” This program won state and national awards, and served as a model for many farreaching future programs.
“My spirit has always soared in the Red Rock country. I love working with color and combining representational and abstract elements in my work. In this spare but complex land, it seems second nature to me to be exploring the internal and external landscape within my own soul.”
